The International Biometric Society and the American Statistical Association have approved David Warton (University of South Wales, Australia) to serve in the position of Chair of the JABES Editorial Management Committee, effective 1 January 2020. David will replace the current Chair, Jennifer Hoeting, whose term is ending. We thank Jennifer for her years of service to the committee and the Society, and congratulations to David on this accomplishment! The JABES Editorial Management Committee has responsibility for editorial policy, publication time, efficiency of manuscript handling, adequacy of page allotment, impact on statistical community, and vigor and timeliness of editing and editorial control over journal quality.
JABES publishes articles of immediate and practical value to applied researchers and statistical consultants in the agricultural sciences, the biological sciences (including biotechnology), and the environmental sciences (including those dealing with natural resources). The journal is published quarterly by Springer in March, June, September, and December. Current and past volumes are available for viewing by members free of charge through the Springer Link system, as a benefit of membership in the IBS.
