Our History

The Spanish Biometric Society (SEB ) is the Spanish region of the International Biometric Society (IBS). The objectives of the SEB are to promote, promote and disseminate the development and application of statistical and mathematical methods in Biology, Medicine, Psychology, Pharmacology, Agriculture and other related sciences related to living things.

Currently, the SEB is structured in five scientific areas: Agriculture, Biology, Bioinformatics, Medicine and Psychology.

Every two years, the SEB holds a Biometrics Conference in order to connect and strengthen communication between the different Spanish researchers and research groups. The SEB also organizes, sponsors or supports courses, seminars and, in general, any event that may be of interest for the development of Biometrics.
