Our History
The Chilean Biostatistics Group is jointly a section of the Chilean Statistical Society (SOCHE) and a national secretary of the International Biometrics Society (IBS). This group was established on January 2000 and its aim is to stimulate the development and application of biostatistics in the Chilean society. Currently, there are 19 Chilean members of IBS thus we are becoming a IBS region for the first time.
Since 2000, every year in January the meeting of the region takes place in a Chilean university, with an increasing number of participants every year.
